I acknowledge that the work I do and the ceremonies I offer take place on the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas. This land is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant-an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes-and by the Between the Lakes Purchase, 1792, between the Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
Today, Hamilton and the Greater Hamilton/Toronto Area are home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island. I am grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and gather on this land, and I am committed to ongoing learning, respect, and reconciliation as a guest and neighbour in these territories.
