Planning a celebration of life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re grieving. My planning consultations are designed to make the process gentle, supportive, and meaningful-so you can focus on what truly matters: honouring your loved one’s story.
Whether you’re just beginning or already have ideas in mind, I’ll walk alongside you every step of the way. Together, we’ll explore options for music, readings, rituals, and personal touches that reflect your loved one’s passions and personality. I’ll offer inspiration, answer your questions, and help you create a ceremony that feels authentic and comforting.
Consultations are available in person or virtually, giving you the flexibility and support you need, wherever you are in your journey. My goal is to help you craft a heartfelt tribute that brings comfort, connection, and lasting memories.
Personalized Memorials + Tributes
Every life is unique, and every memorial should be, too. My role as your celebrant is to guide and inspire you as we create a tribute that honours your loved one’s story, passions, and treasured memories.
Much like a candle passed from one hand to another, sharing light in the darkness, I’ll help you find meaningful ways to celebrate and remember—whether that’s with special music, readings, rituals, or a memory table holding cherished mementos. You and your family decide what feels most authentic, and together we’ll weave those memories into a heartfelt ceremony.

Initial connection call
A gentle check-in to understand your needs, timelines, and any immediate priorities, whether you are planning ahead or arranging something very quickly.
In-depth family meeting
A relaxed, guided conversation (in person or online) to learn about your loved one’s life, personality, beliefs, and the stories and details that matter most.
Custom ceremony design
A fully personalized ceremony outline, tailored to the tone you choose—traditional, spiritual, secular, or a celebration of life—with clear flow from welcome to closing.
Support with music, readings, and rituals
Suggestions and curation of music, poems, readings, and symbolic gestures (such as candle lighting, memory table, flower or ribbon rituals) that reflect your loved one.
Writing the tribute/eulogy
Crafting a heartfelt life story or tribute based on your memories, with the option for you or family members to speak, or for the celebrant to deliver it on your behalf.
Incorporating family and guest participation
Gentle guidance for anyone who wishes to share words, readings, or stories, including tips, timing, and how to feel more at ease speaking on the day.
Collaboration with your funeral home or venue
Liaison with funeral directors and venue staff around timing, logistics, and technical needs (music playback, microphones, slideshow cues, etc.).
Order of service guidance
Input on wording and structure if you are creating a program, including suggested headings, sequence, and brief text for print or digital formats.
Officiating on the day
Calm, warm leadership of the ceremony from welcome to final words, ensuring the service flows smoothly and feels grounded and respectful.
Keepsake copy of the ceremony
A written copy of the ceremony script or tribute afterward, which families often keep, revisit, or share with those who could not attend.
Ash Scattering Ceremonies
An ash scattering ceremony is a gentle and meaningful way to say goodbye, returning your loved one to a place that held special significance in their life. Whether it’s a favourite garden, a peaceful lake, or a cherished family spot, this ceremony can be as unique as the person you’re honouring.
As your celebrant, I’ll guide you through every step-helping you choose a location, select readings, music, or rituals, and offering inspiration for personal touches that reflect your loved one’s spirit. There are many ways to scatter ashes: casting them to the wind, placing them in water, or even creating a special design in the earth. Together, we’ll find the approach that feels most meaningful to you and your family.
My role is to support you, coordinate the ceremony, and create a space for reflection, remembrance, and healing-so you can focus on what matters most: honouring your loved one’s journey and saying a heartfelt farewell.

Suggestions for poems, readings, songs, blessings, or simple rituals such as casting petals, lighting candles, or sharing memories before or after the scattering.
Options for how ashes are scattered
Support in choosing an approach that feels right for you, such as casting to the wind, scattering on water, raking into the earth, or creating a simple shape or circle together.
Involving family and friends
Gentle guidance for anyone who would like to speak, read, assist with the scattering, or take part in a shared gesture, so everyone knows what to expect and feels supported.
Coordination on the day
On-site leadership to welcome guests, guide the flow of the ceremony, hold space during emotional moments, and ensure the scattering itself is handled with care and respect.
Follow-up and keepsake wording
A keepsake copy of the ceremony wording or key readings, which you can revisit later or share with those who were unable to attend.
